Commercial Sales Estimator

We have an excellent opportunity for experienced individuals to join one of the districts leading stone & tiling contractors.

One of London’s leading tiling contractors is seeking to employ an experienced Commercial Sales Estimator to prepare, manage and report on our tender applications. We are looking for an organised person with meticulous attention to detail who has the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks who is calm, focused and efficient in meeting deadlines.

The ideal candidates will:

  • Have past experience in Estimating or surveying (Mandatory)
  • Have proven tendering skills to increase yield by securing contracts with main contractors and clients across London and the South East.
  • A proven track record of success in estimating within stone/tile or similar sector (Preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of the tile & stone industry. (Preferred)
  • Proven account management and new business development skills
  • Strong personal drive and self-motivation to succeed
  • In depth knowledge and experience of the tendering process
  • Strong and articulate communication skills
  • Have excellent problem solving & negotiating skills, be customer focused and can priorities tenders which are of substantial importance.
  • Excellent Knowledge of Bluebeam/Quick scale or equivalent drawing takeoff software including Microsoft office & Adobe PDF software. Familiarity with Aconex/Conject/Asite or similar (Preferred)
  • Be organised and able to design and maintain detailed Schedules of Work and relevant pricing to a fine level of detail.

Duties of the candidate will include but are not limited to:

  • Completing accurate takeoff measurements from client drawings
  • Liaising with suppliers and negotiating discounts to formulate quotations that are priced as competitively as possible and inline with client specifications.
  • Organising, prioritising and scheduling tender requests as per company requirements and chasing feedback from main contractors and clients.
  • Establishing, where applicable, unsuccessful tenders and responding more competitively to recoup or improve on future orders.
  • Building relationships with main contractors and clients to increase market share
  • Reporting confidently to senior management on a monthly basis regarding results achieved.
  • Ensuring that all customer deadlines are met with 100% customer service satisfaction at all times
  • Obtaining the best rates from supplier’ sales representatives for projects
  • Developing new sales from existing customers
  • Completing PQQs, managing pre-contract SHEQ & programme plans, Technical submissions and sample approvals.
  • Reviewing incoming orders and contracts inline with tender requests and pricing.

CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) (Required)

Related Construction Vocational Qualification Level 3 or above

CSCS Labourers (Self-employed) required - Live & work within Camden Borough of London

We have an excellent opportunity for experienced individuals to join one of the districts leading stone & tiling contractors

We are looking for experienced CSCS carded labourers to work on a site based in Camden London you must live within the borough of Camden to meet our clients locally sourced labour ideals to qualify for this role.  

 

The ideal CSCS Labourer candidates for Chiltern Contracts will:

  • Have an unexpired Green Labourer CSCS card,
  • Full PPE
  • Previous experience of working as a Labourer on Construction sites.

 

Duties of the chosen CSCS Labourers for Chiltern Contracts will include but are not limited to:

  • Cleaning and clearing site
  • Moving materials
  • Assisting with deliveries
  • General labouring and welfare duties
  • Assisting with trades on site
  • Any other works as directed by the site team
