50 Bank Street - Case Study

Situated in the heart of Canary Wharf, 50 Bank Street has undergone an impactful sustainable transformation. As a trusted subcontractor to Overbury, we brought our sustainable craftsmanship and design expertise to the forefront of this project.

The reception lobby, the project's centrepiece, witnessed a complete makeover executed by Chiltern Contracts. The team stripped out the existing finishes, paving the way for the installation of a reimagined floor and feature wall. The former parking space has also been repurposed into new cycle storage and shower facilities, demonstrating Chiltern Contracts ability at maximising space utility.

Sustainability was prioritized through the selection of Stonethica‘s recycled Statuario marble panels for the reception and lift lobby floor. The selection of these panels, sourced from Carrara, Italy, infused the space with a classic palette of white, grey, and bronze veining.

Further enhancing the lobby's charm, the main wall behind the reception desks now features vertical metallic fins, fabricated from overclad timber and aluminium profiles. This arrangement harmonizes with the existing structure while adding a modern, artistic flair.

As a whole, the 50 Bank Street project stands as proof of Chiltern Contracts dedication to balancing high-quality construction, aesthetic appeal, and environmental responsibility.
